Brad is a retired executive from Hewlett-Packard. During his 40+ year career at Hewlett-Packard , Brad held over 18 senior leadership assignments across a wide range of the Company’s most innovative and successful businesses. Throughout his time at HP, and continuing today, Brad has pursued his interest in innovation and the arts; working to build a rich and vibrant network of artists and innovators who are passionate about using their talents to help create more inclusive, engaged and vibrant communities.
Brad has served on numerous visual arts and social innovation-oriented nonprofit Boards and has been a leader in helping create and sponsor a number of arts and innovation-centered programs at San Jose State University (located in Northern California).
Upon retiring from HP in 2015, Brad served as interim Executive Director of ZERO1; an international Arts and Technology organization. In his time at ZERO1, Brad helped revitalize its strategic plans and oversaw its International American Arts Incubator (AAI) program. The American Arts Incubator (AAI) was a creative exchange program that utilized community-driven digital and new media art projects to stimulate dialogue, build communities, bolster local economies, and further social innovation. From 2014 through 2020, the AAI program facilitated 30 American Arts Incubator exchanges in 28 countries around the world, producing 182 art projects involving over 1,300 workshop participants and engaging over 12,000 community members. Each of these exchanges had positive and lasting impacts on the communities in which they were held and demonstrated the significant impact art and innovation could have on diverse communities around the world.
Brad started RebelWerks as a vehicle for continuing his efforts to find ways to harness the power of art, innovation, and the creative spirit to inspire communities everywhere to use kindness, compassion, and generosity (acts of humanity) to build more inclusive , engaged, and vibrant communities for all!
